Hi everyone

I need to do a flight test for the issue of a NZ ATPL and I'd like to do it on a B737 sim (-400 or -800) at Air New Zealand (as I hear they are the only approved sims in NZ for this) .. in April.

1, does anyone have any info on how to book, prices, etc and,

2, does anyone else need a sim check on a B737 in April and want to share the sim session ? and/or

3, anyone got any better ideas?

I guess I also need an examiner - any recommendations please?

Thanks very much in advance.:)

Air New Zealand operated the -300. I'm guessing the -300 sim doesn't fit the bill
Air New Zealand pensioned off the last 737 about September 2015. The 737 sim has probably been sold

The Air New Zealand 737-300 Sim is alive and well and being used on a regular basis and should be available for another year.
Qantas has a -400 Sim still active and Ansett Flight Training has a -300, both in Melbourne.
NG Sims, well everybody has one of those.

Try to Google and I'm sure the sites will lead you to what you are after.

Centaurus can put you onto the AN sim folk at Tullamarine.

You could probably get him to do the deed for you as well .. he probably is still approved for the work .. an excellent instructor/examiner.

For ANZ, suggest you make contact with Contracts Training .. forgotten now who is in the chair. Ask for Pauline and she will sort out what you need to know.

300 sim 400 sim same same.

Wouldn't make any difference for the purposes of a NZ atpl licence test.

Do it in oz and you will need to get an examiner to Melbourne at your cost, which won't be cheap

Hi again, does anybody know of a Nz Designated Examiner who is current on B737 and could do an ATPL test in Auckland in April?

Thanks in advance!

This is Australia. if you want a "sympathetic" Examiner no such thing here thank goodness.. Try SE Asia. Money talks there...
