Looks like HJ has won the NZ Govt Postal contract. 3 x 737-400's all ex-QF being converted in Dothan Alabama....new company called "Parcel Air" I believe.

Good to see more jet jobs..

Three 737-400 replacing 4 (5?) Convair's, a 733, an F27 and two Metro's. A joint venture between Air Freight and Airwork. Sixteen jobs on the "new" machines I've heard.

You might not think it such good news if you're involved, TBM Legend. Only six of existing crew flying in new op with up to a dozen jobs lost and not the slightest tilt at established airline concepts like seniority. Not a very good batting average. And the loss of decent heavy turbo prop jobs will surely be felt in a country a small as NZ.

Six of the existing crew? Out of how many?

I said "jet jobs"...

I know what you said. The move has meant the loss of 12 jobs in the company that won the contract and the destruction of multiple careers so you can shove your jet jobs. There are other types of aeroplanes than jets.
