Can anyone suggest a way to add Bluetooth functionality to an Iridium 9555 satphone? I'm thinking of an adaptor that plugs into the 2.5mm port which obviously needs to have transmit/receive capability.

Is there such a thing?

Thanks

There was such a thing: a Jabra A210 headset adapter. They aren't produced anymore though.

Its a small device about 30mm square and about 10mm thick with a trailing cable with 2.5mm plug that plugs into the headset socket on the old pre-Bluetooth mobile phones, and could then be paired to a headset.

Maybe try googling for "Jabra A210 alternative" or similar.

The Jabra A210 is the only item I know of that does this as well, looks like Pacific Rim may still have them according to its site, check the link below:

There are some motorbike headset device that run sound and mic to bluetooth
Difficult part is getting it all in one device
Bt sound only.....hundreds of options
Sound and mic a few
Sound and mic AND 3.5mm plug very few
Also may need to use rca adapters and swap colours around to match pinouts from satphone to bt adapter

Here is the proper solution, pretty expensive

How well do sat phones work when moving? Not well from my old experience
