Had a Naval defence industry person to lunch today - seemingly HM Treasury have caused MoD to curtail forthwith all Naval support contracts for major equipment on account of unexplained [;)] MoD current year overspend. This was public domain, but hidden in all the PR cr$p, on or around 31 March [ie end fiscal year] . Was it only the Navy that got shafted or are HM Services generally getting 'back burnered' as well, only more than we know.
