This just drives me nuts. Letters to Congress welcome.

Women pilots who served in WWII can't have ashes laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery | Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/01/01/women-pilots-who-served-in-wwii-cant-have-ashes-laid-to-rest-at-arlington-national-cemetery.html?intcmp=hpbt3)

My first instructor was a former WASP with thousands of hours in all manner of aircraft at the time of my first lesson over 50 years ago. It was her discharge papers that the Air Force used to justify classification of WASPs as veterans back in 1977. Below is a historical link on Congressional activities as well as a link with a story of Helen Sheffer's first P-47 jaunt (msg id 1725 on the page). Her favorite aircraft? P-38.
