Arrow Air crash, Gander.

During several interviews with one of the Canuck investigators, there is a high wing a/c in the immediate background, predominantly red in colour. Can someone please identify it, I've drawn blanks with my efforts?
Thanks.

Without actually having seen that programme and just going with your information, I'd hazard a guess at a Handley Page Herald in the red & white livery of Eastern Provincial Airways*. I'm obviously open to other suggestions!
Now I'll have to wade through YouTube to find that particular episode.

Edit: *Of course, also depending on the date of the interview with the investigator!

If its from the show I am thinking of, its a Vickers Viscount

The high wing across the top is from another aircraft.

I've seen that episode previously and I remember someone being interviewed with the TCA Viscount as a backdrop. They probably had difficulty finding a DC-8!

Has anyone got a link to this programme on You tube or another source?

Thank you for the responses.

It looked more like a Viscount. The windshield wiper in the centre was an odd feature, I thought, which I can't see on any pics of a Herald.

Was it this one? First sighting of the Viscount at 3:45 (https://youtu.be/BlOYh9tQ584?t=225)

Thanks Dogimed, I've now watched that Arrow Air episode of Air Crash Detective. Agreed, it's definitely a Viscount in the background, and your photo proves it was the errant wingtip of another aircraft causing previous confusion.

For myself, beginning in 1957, many happy hours spent aboard Viscounts - great memories!
