Hello,

I am Pranshu Verma. I am from India. I studied in South Korea. I did four years degree in Air Transportation Administration. In this course basically i studied about Air Traffic Controlling, Flight Dispatcher, Logistics and Airport Management. August 2015 I graduated from the University and tried to get job in Korea, but due to language difference they dont offer jobs or internships to foreigners in my field (As per one HR guy of Incheon International Airport):*. Now i am thinking to take Flight Dispatcher License from Emirates Aviation University, but I am not sure weather I ll be able to get job there after getting the license or not:confused:, hell i am not sure weather i should go to dubai or not or where should I go to get job except India.:ugh:

Can anyone please guide me? Thanks in Advance.

Hello Verma

To work in an operations department in UAE you need a licence so that will stand you in good stead. However, any reputable operator will be also looking for previous dispatcher experience. Have you tried any of the Indian airlines to see if they will take you at entry level? Many dispatchers with Indian qualifications have converted these to UAE dispatcher licences and work there.

Best of luck!

As i heard from few, after completing the FD course in Emirates Aviation University. You will be required to do a 3months OJT at any reputable Airline in U.A.E. Whose air crafts are "A6" registered aircrafts. (meaning U.A.E. registered)

Not all of the graduates are lucky enough to find a job in U.A.E. Most of the companies requires an Experience here. on the bright side, If you take your OJT in Air Arabia, they might hire you.

If you have the money, i suggest take the F.A.A. license in U.S.
Flight support companies, (few of them) hires Dispatcher even without exp.
plus it is recognized worldwide.

G.C.A.A. or U.a.e. FD license expires every 2 years. meaning, whether you have a job or not you'll have to take a re-currency course from them.

If i were you, have a research first. there are countries like Australia who doesn't need an FD license just to get the job but they will give you in-house training. (not sure how to get that job tho).
