I am angry at being denied access to a multitude of medical professionals in HK simply because the current company medical aid scheme will not pay the going rate to those professionals. they then simply withdraw from the panel and will not accept us as patients and we all suffer

If anyone is interested in a better scheme please could you pm me with expressions of interest . I need a starting list of at least 30 people to get it off the ground, obviously more would be better . I cannot give you exact figures yet but if I get enough interest we could do it through the AOA or directly

Thanks for baymac info
If I can get 30Plus families or individuals together I can get a scheme going approx 2k HK per month per person less for youngsters and kids bit more for oldies , but with much better benefits plus it includes maternity and your choice of doctor in HK and most other countries which is my sticking point with our current provider

Quality Healthcare is, ironically, the very last thing this company seeks to provide us.

As it is always in HK, their goal is to make as much money as possible off our back and not much else.

The downwards slide in the number and caliber of panel doctors and labs in the last few years is alarming to say the least.
These days, you are lucky if you wait less than an hour for a 5 minutes consultation with a straight-out-of-medschool GP you've never seen before.

Panel specialists are only reimbursed $350 for a QHMS member, whereas in the current market they can afford to charge around $1000 to anyone else and their insurers.

As a logical result, the turnaround is quite high. Specialists soon fail to see the point in wasting their time and leave the scheme and the noobs at the QHMS clinics soon gain experience and obtain proper paying jobs in other medical institutions.

Meanwhile QHMS, much like our very own employer, is happy to scrape the bottom of the barrel to provide its bare minimum panel of medical professionals.

Not that I would ever bet on CX/KA looking for a better provider if it costs them a dollar more.
