An old student of mine has just posted a question regarding an an Airbus A320 power point presentation. One slide has the following:
this is an airbus made ppt

Basic Customisation
- As required by regulations
- Alternate procedure
- If installed
- DASHED
- MEL policy.

Can anyone tell me what the DASHED line item refers to?

Yeah means you can turn right over it so long as you indicate.

A dash in the MMEL means a variable number installed, or the number required can be variable, depending on the customer fit or regulations applicable to area of operation. When the operator is preparing their MEL by tailoring the MMEL for their own fleet they should, where possible, add the correct numbers dependant on their aircraft fit or regulations applicable to area of operation.

Number installed and number required may not be listed if not practical and not relevant for dispatch determination.
