Various Danish news websites have a story about a new company called Airnavia chartering an MD83 from Danish Air Transport to run 8 routes from Aalborg including London and various beach destinations from spring 2016.

Sounds a bit like Air Karnten or Flynonstop to me. Anyone think this will get off the ground with flights operating ? Wonder whether SAS or Norwegian might throw some extra capacity at Aalborg in 2016 and make thing more competitive ?

AirNavia - A new virtual company starts in Aalborg with routes to London Stansted. In addition, seven other routes operated by SAS and DAT.
The new company is a virtual company. This means that the company does not have its own aircraft as they lack a permit for this. So actually the new company a travel agent to begin with. It can also be seen on the seven routes to Alanya, Golden Sands (Bulgaria), Crete, Corfu, Rhodes, Gran Canaria and Tenerife. These are already serviced by either SAS or DAT.

The route to London Stansted are flown by DAT and will from May 2016 to fly four times a week.

The tickets which will be sold off on Friday, November 13, 2015, starts very aggressively at 49, - per way. Thus Airnavia what we could call a traditional low-cost carrier. It is backed by the seat selection, baggage, and food is something that will cost extra.
