What crew shortage? Change to 3 man ULH "then" reduce training events.
This NTC removes 1/5th (read 20%) of the recurrent training that CA/FO's do annually.
This would equate to approximately 2500 1 day events....:=:=

Actually its probably more than 20%, given that the IR is not really recurrent training.

So one goes from 3 recurrent training events (2 x RT, 1 x N5), to just the 2 RTs.

We probably need another Air France or Asiana crash to remind our managers why we had the sim5 in the first place.

The DFO receives a letter from senior training captains highlighting the lack of experience and training difficulties of new joiners, and the obvious solution is to reduce training, of course!

Yet the "command" course will continue to be 6+ months.
