Hi guys,

I am working in a company located in Singapore and we are working on a project that involves the purchase and delivery of a Falcon 10 from the USA (California) to Singapore. I understand from the broker we are getting the aircraft from that the planes are usually delivered by someone flying the plane over to Singapore. Now I have several questions here:

1) Can someone advise me whom I can contact or which company does this sort of delivery? Supplying of pilot, planning of route, landing clearances etc.
2) What sort of costs are we looking at for a travel of such distance between the USA and Singapore.
3) The aircraft is to be delivered in-land as a display and teaching tool at one of the educational institutes. How are planes usually delivered inland? Are the wings removed and delivered via low loader? Are there recommended companies that carry out such disassembly/assembly of the aircraft?
4) What are some of the plus and minus points that I should consider for this method of delivery.
5) Are there any other key points that I have left out.

Alternatively, could the Falcon 10 be delivered via sea freight? We remove the wings, horizontal and vertical stabilizers and ship them using shipping containers. Is this idea feasible? If this is feasible, who can we contact to help disassemble the aircraft for shipment and put them together again at our customer's place?

Any answers and corrections are welcomed.

TIA.

Any broker worth their salt, leave alone the manufacturer, will have a list of folks who are current on their aircraft and certified for delivery flights. They do this all the time, sea freight is not a good option.

If the aircraft is to be permanently grounded sea container would be the much cheaper option!?

If it's destined to be an instructional airframe, how long since it last flew? Is it actually still airworthy?

Yes, that was what I was thinking too. However, who can I contact to disassemble the aircraft for shipment and reassemble for display?

It doesn't have to be flown. It will be on fixed display and only the flight control surfaces and instrumentation in the cockpit will be turned on for instructional use.

It doesn't have to be flown.

You misunderstand, I appreciate that it's to be grounded.

My point was that if it hasn't flown for a while, then ensuring that it's in an airworthy condition for a ferry flight is likely to cost much more than the cost of dismantling, shipping and re-assembling.

In that case, your decision is made for you.

You are asking the 'Spectators Balcony' - not getting information from a professional company....your 'broker' for example?

Seriously?

You can Google 'aircraft delivery services'.....

Yes, I did misunderstand you. I understand where you are coming from, hence I am asking for other opinions as the broker kept insisting on flying it over to Singapore.

Hi, of course I am asking the broker about the delivery to Singapore, and he is insisting that it should be flown over. Hence, to get some other opinions from people who may have done such deliveries before, I decided to post a thread in here for people to post their experiences and give their opinions which will allow me to make a more informed decision.
