We are considering the purchase on a pre- owned 7X and would like to get a handle on the current reliability issues as well as max range trips done by the 7X community. It will be an EASY 2 aircraft. Thanks

Maybe this thread helps a little:

Thank you I have read this. I was rather hoping for a really broad level of experiences with the 7X over the last 24 months.
Aircraft will fly long from FACT to EGLF and then Europe
.
We presently tech stop which is not what the principal wants but we still need to fly regionally and locally. Big issue is we have our own AMO but there is not a lot of expertise in Africa so reliability is very important.

I doubt you will do FACT-EGLF everytime...

FACT-EGLF is well within the capabilities of the 7X. What makes you say that?
F900c send me a PM.

it is 5300 Nm, so yes, but not everyday of the year...especially UKbound..

But if an operator has made every time this flight with no stop, like the Hong-Kong - Geneva.... And I say every time, please correct me.

The real value of the 7X is in short runways combined with long distance, such as CYKZ-LOWW

I heard that whenever a flip-placard 7X goes into Cannes, they have to move all of the little bug-smashers out of the way so they don't get hit by the wing of the 7X as it taxies.
Also, it cracks and damages the pavements because nobody thought about ACN/PCN :}
Still, always nice to see people taking things to the limit / bending the rules.

There are 2 parking spots wide enough for the 7x in Cannes, which can be used without moving any other planes, ACN/PCN is in limits...

it is not a flip card anymore, and not only the F7X, it is everybody up to 35 tons MTOM AND Stage 4 -3db

so you add all your numbers if it is higher than 268 you cannot come into Cannes..

Please explain: flip card?

it is not a flip card anymore, and not only the F7X, it is everybody up to 35 tons MTOM AND Stage 4 -5 db..... Good bye Citation, Falcon 10, etc...

dommage,
was thinking about a flip_card_STC'd [1] , st3_hushkitted, GIII coming down on final
over A8, with just enough fuel to hop to lfmn
[1] which doesn't exists, ca va sans dire

seriously,
are the 50/900 on the goodbye side too (seeming to me strange enough),
being them powered, if i'm not grossly wrong from the same tfe breed as the 10?

ciao

I just fly a single_prop_in_front thing, but, if i'm not wrong again,
a flip card is exactly that:
a cockpit card with, on one side an 457 ton mtow, and, on the other side,
a much lower one; search for the other 7x thread

This is the link, and I made a mistake it is not 5 db but 3db below stage 4 ( which is 10Db below stage 3)

The infamous Flip card was a creative way to alter the MTOM of the F7X to below 22 tons.
some crews even changed the MTOM in flight... now a non-issue with the new operating rules..

this my post above edited due to the error.

it is not a flip card anymore, and not only the F7X, it is everybody up to 35 tons MTOM AND Stage 4 -3db

so you add all your numbers if it is higher than 268 you cannot come into Cannes.

not to forgot, the 2db minimum at any measurement (this is to say that your aircraft carries a Stage 3 only noise certificate)

We have been flying a 7X for 2 years, 600 hours, no cancellations so far. Anything with all recommended SBs for reliability or aircraft over SN 200 will do just great.

As for your FACT-EGLF it looks like it will be within range most of the time. If you need a sample flight plan PM me.

Good luck!

On Thursday, Cannes-Mandelieu Airport in southern France announced it will now allow business jets up to 35 metric tons (77,100 pounds) mtow to operate there. The previous cap was 22 metric tons (48,500 pounds). The tradeoff is that noise rules at the French Riviera airfield are becoming stricter.

According to the airport director Thierry Pollet three aircraft types are to benefit from the change, Dassault Falcon 7X, Gulfstream IV and Bombardier Challenger 850. Pollet added that the Falcon 7X, however, has been allowed at Cannes since 2014, but only at a takeoff weight of less than 22 metric tons, thus limiting its range. Before Thursday's announcement, the Falcon 900 was the heaviest jet that could fly out of Cannes at mtow.

What at 104800 lbs ish for the 8000, I`d have thought it be a slightly on the heavy side. Might be possible if you could persuade the pax to leave wallets behind.
