Blackpool lose British Northwest schedules

I understand that British North West Airlines have announced that they are ceasing flights between Blackpool, the Isle of Man and Belfast, after honouring all existing bookings. It seems that this new operation, started by former Comed management, hasn't achieved the passanger numbers they had hoped for.

Seems that Comed fall foul of bad luck in everything they do. Then again, it was probably Mr Eastwood that fleeced them or tried to fleece them for higher rate landing and fuel fees :D :D

im not suprised that british nortwest have run in to difficulties, reason? they havent publicised themselves. i live 20 miles from bpl and the first i heard about british northwest was when i saw an item on ceefax saying that the had no passengers for their first flight!! the bpl-bfs service could be a nice little earner if it was marketed right and so could bpl-iom, i can remember the days of bia at bpl and it was a bus service to iom. if bpl are charging bpl high fees then the airport are shooting themselves in the foot. mind you british northwest could look at relocating to warton or samlesbury!!!

I can only say I'm surprised that BNWA lasted as long as it did.

I don't think that a single flight was operated by an aircraft owned by the company.
Leased Bandits, Chieftains and Kingairs being the order of the day. The leasing costs of these aircraft must have been astronomical enough to "fleece" the company itself without trying to blame the airports for charging reasonable fees. I think that I am also right in saying that BNW were unable to take Pax on the IOM-BPL-IOM sectors with the regular bandits due to route restrictions ??

How could anyone believe that such a scheme would work when an alternative ( on BPL-IOM at least ) was available, and being operated regularly, on time with good planning and advertising ?

Who will be the losers this time ? I hope that the passengers, airports, lessors and other creditors will not end up so seriously out of pocket as after the Comed adventure.

And as a closing thought , please don't try 3rd time lucky.............

I hear that BNWA are up and running again BLK-IOM, although their first flight had to park with the other TT charters at IOM?

Their website isn't exactly the best, I know they're a small airline, but if they are/were to suceed, they'd need to do better than that.
