First of all this isn't a scrounge, tug at heartstrings or whatever. I am running through my options for the following scenario and thought this forum might help.
My old man, a British Expat living in Menorca, has been battling the big C for the last 12 months. He is currently in Barcelona, in pretty poor shape, but it is hoped to get him home (to Menorca) next week. The bottom line is, however, the chips are pretty much down and whether or not he eventually responds to his current treatment is not as important as him needing to be in the bosom of his family.
Accordingly I am looking at bringing him and my mother, with my self in a supporting role, from Mahon, to Ronaldsway, Isle of Man, in the next 2-3 weeks. My options are thus:
1. seats on charter from MAH into MAN or LPL, short leg to RON
(not ideal. delays, comfort, handling at MAH appalling)
2. Business class from MAH into MAN and leg to RON
(not sure of availabliity, and as 1)
3. Private charter MAH direct RON
He is not an air amb job, but is extremely weak.
So, does anyone have any ideas of cost for 3 pax one way from MAH to RON? , or any other suggestions. I'm not the richest man in the world but would be able to make sufficient funds available. Any comments, advice or contacts please to:
