Iceland Air Tours

I will be in Iceland for short vacation next week - Sept 2 - Sept 7th (2015) and am looking for information on seeing some of the country by air. There are, of course, the expensive tour companies offering helicopter tours in the thousand dollar range (for three adults) but I'm wondering about any smaller less publicized options or even the possibility of meeting someone in the local aviation community who has access to an aircraft. Any advice?
