Are you sure it's on the ground?

Possible low level overflight captured at the right moment?

Presumably, someone put it on a boat and transported it to this particular island from the crash site...?

It's probably a garden ornament. No spinner or prop shadow.

Yep. Wing shadow appears offset while buildings and tanks aren't. :p

The island in the OP with the aircraft pictured is not East Wallabi Island.

I've had a look,but cannot identify the island.

Correct. But it's only 1500 meters from where the aircraft ended up in the water!
