This company is a joint venture between Italian investors Ignacio Coraci and Francesco Rebaudo (58% in total) and Azerbaijan's Silk Way Airlines (ZP, Baku) (42%), SW Italia is set to secure its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from Italy's civil aviation authority (L'Ente Nazionale per L'Aviazione Civile - ENAC) .

They are based in Milan-Malpensa, with a B747-400. A new B747-800 will be had in their fleet.

Does anyone knows how is it going? recruiting ? T&C's?Plans for expansion?

A SilkWay 747-8 is out on the line in Everett. Can't say when they plan to deliver it...

[edit: Silkway Azerbijan, not SilkAir Singapore]

There is no B747-800, it's a B747-8.
SilkAir (Singapore) has no plans to add a B747-8 to their fleet.

All the above is owned by the Azeri`s. In fact they supply mtce / crew etc. for AZAL - the national flag carrier.

No involvement with SIN / Silkair.....at all ! Hope that helps !
