Quick Q. Saw a Lynx and a Dauphin over Rushall ( Upavon way ) late Wednesday afternoon. Most impressed to see something different - anyone enlighten me as to why it was there ?

And before anyone asks, this is me talking, not a journo out to find out the French plans for the invasion of the U.K.

That was a French Panther from 36F Squadron visiting the Lynx squadrons at EGDY. Did a bit of nav and stuff in the local area.

PTT, agree its a CIA plot...Panther is one of the 3 types short listed for Belize to replace the Lynx..I reckon they were racing each other...new way of winning contracts..first past the post gets the job.:D

I Hear a dauphin provided by Mr McAlpine was in the running for the 84Sqn post until the Griffin was selected over it.
