Just found this while poking around. Things never change at Cathay:

Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd vs NLRC : 141702-03 : August 2, 2001 : J. Bellosillo : Second Division (http://sc.judiciary.gov.ph/jurisprudence/2001/aug2001/141702_03.htm)

Where does one start? So many lawsuits pertaining to staff that you can get lost. The court records alone demonstrate what an epic 'fail' this company is when it comes to decency, integrity and honesty. Shameful on every level.

Yeah, well, I was working on something else and this happened to appear in my search. Thought it would be interesting to some. No point other than an easily readable example of the behaviour of Cathay. I guess everyone who posts on PPRuNe needs a hobby.

Why am I not surprised that Nipperess was involved. He's the reason staff travel is such a disaster compared to other airlines.

It's more than I disaster..it's a freaking mess where WE have to eat the enduring humble pie as we get hit by full on arrogance..Hk lost my bag 6 days ago after my family were split into 3 days of travelling and reduced my young son to tears..not even a smile..just a smirk of satisfaction as another expat pilot and family get a successful shafting..fck them

Thanks for sharing Oval3, love to read legal stuff against them. There are many settlement out of court and many more are silently killed ! Makes me feel at ease after reading them and now become part of my hobby, I think. At least, I learned to know who are the ghosts.
