Hey there guys,

I might be getting dragged away from sunny England to the Caymans by my girlfriend (she drives a hard deal!) - and would be grateful for any info on possible barbie jet (or any flying) jobs that may be going out there???

Also what's the best way to convert from JAR ATPL to FAA???

Got 1700hrs crj, 2000hrs total JAR ATPL

Many thanx :)

Best way to convert to FAA is the only way..... The private license is free. then its written, oral, flight sign off and check ride, all of which cost money..... Same if you want to go the other way, maybe a bit cheaper......
Get a copy of the FAR/AIM from Sportys www.sportys.com and it lays out all the requirements. then its a matter of advice as to where is cheapest and what you want to fly......
Good luck, if you need further, my email is good..

If you are going to the Caymans and planning on flying a Cayman registered metal bird, why the interest in getting a FAA ?

Last I heard the only jet remaining was an old Citation.

You could always contact the local operator.
