Helicopter ATPL flight test

There is a fair bit of talking about the Aeroplane ATPL flight test at the moment but I haven't seen any chat about the effects of the flight test on the Helicopter industry.

Has anyone heard of any RW pilots completing the flight test? How is the EMS world planing to overcome the flight test when the suitably qualified guys dry up?

The AHIA are working with CASA on a fix for this issue.
Step 1, Currently there are no (Part 142) schools in Australia that can run a MCC Course, but that will change.

Step XX, The other area that might change is the attitude of the customer. What value does holding an ATPL add for single pilot ops?

But since most pilots develop via the off-shore route, they will hold an ATPL well before they get to the Police/EMS role.
