I remember reading an article in Air Classics many years ago featuring this T-34 being rebuilt by a guy in Texas named Earl Parks. It was for someone in Europe. Apart from this photo I have never seen or heard anything about it since then. Does anyone know if it is still around, still flying?

Thanks for the info. That leaves only one question. Does anyone here know if the aircraft flew much while in Europe? Can you recall seeing it around?

The only piston T-34 I can recall seeing in the UK was N16JL (http://www.abpic.co.uk/photo/1000931/) (feat of memory there!) which was parked at Thruxton for some time in the 1970s/1980s.
Wait now, didn't one of Doug Arnold's sons acquire one and operate it out of Biggin for a while in the 1990s?

Lordy, am I that old, I learned to fly in a T-34, piston powered, 225 horse power if I recall correctly.

For some reason the T-34 has never been popular as a "warbird" in Europe, there have been a number of T-28s about (two currently at Duxford). Looks to be a nice aeroplane to me.
Is a wonderful aircraft treadigraph, my only wish is to be able to afford one. Trained on them and the T-28 (even better) courtesy of the USN.

It looks to be a great aircraft but there are some spar problems with corresponding AD's if I'm not mistaken. There have been several wing /spar failures while doing aerobatics here in the US. I think there is a fix, but have no idea how much it costs to implement.

Hello TJ,
This plane was Flying in France at the end of 80's, and beginning of 90's.
The "Pink Panther" move then to Annemasse (France, near Switzerland) and was sent back to US around 2005 to Parks Industries.
I have some pictures of the plane at home :)
