Very good article, Biggus. Thank you for posting. Why do I feel that the new Soviet Union has been ramping up its military capability a tadge faster than the good guys?

But, in reality, both Nato and Russia are stepping up their rhetoric and strengthening their military posture.

SDSR2010? Harrier? No MPA? SDSR2015? Long gap before operational ac on an operational carrier? Is "strengthening" the right word?

And all of that is just the UK. Smaller NATO countries have hardly "strengthened" and lots are just finding out they can't afford to.

This could be interesting.

Is that coming out of the foreign aid budget?

Now where are all those old airfields and can we reform RAFG, no thought not, in fact the present RAF is smaller than the old RAFG and no instant sunshine available !!
