Its with great sadness I post that Stressfree - AKA Matt Giles sadly passed away Wednesday morning. Please be advised of the following arrangements I have received from Julie:-

''Just to let you know, we have made the funeral arrangements, it will be next friday 26th at High Easter Church (CM1 4QW) at 10.30am. Could you please pass the message on to anybody else, it would be lovely to see a good turnout. We have decided no flowers, but if you would like to make a donation the charity is Malaria No More UK.''

As KK mentioned, Matt really was one of the best - a pleasure to have worked with him and an honour to have known him.

May I add my condolences to Matt's family and friends, a true gent. I had the pleasure of flying with Matt on the 604/5 at Twinjet and TAG between 2008 and 2013. Great times, every time. We laughed and laughed, had a beer or two, and always got the job done. A great operator, colleague, and friend. This has come as a complete shock to us all, and I for one, will miss him dearly. Get out the cab!

My condolences to Matt's family and friends, he was a true gentleman, a great teacher, a pleasure to fly with and at the end of the day great fun to relax with. He will be truly missed.

I'm shocked!

I flew with Matt for three days back in 1993 on an Inflight HS125-700. I distinctly remember his patience when I broke most of the crockery during an "arrival" in Swansea.

A really lovely guy to have known. Many happy and memorable nights spent in Nice when we bumped into each other down route. Current trip means I won't make his sending off, but I'm sure he would want us to enjoy a few beers while saying goodbye. Great to have known you Matt.

Sad news indeed. I had the pleasure of working with Matt many times between 2005 and 2013, not least when I went out to fix one of his many AOGs on the 604 and 605. What a lovely bloke. Will miss him

Having only just found this thread may I join all the "above" in conveying my condolences to Family and Friends. A true Professional' and Character' who is a great loss to this part of the industry. I shall raise a glass at the Dog and Duck' .............. .

My God,so so shocked.
Just came across this post. I flew with Matt at Ford in 2004. What a gent and a wicked sense of humour. One of the best nights of my flying career still with Matt on a layover in Cologne. Goodbye my friend.
