G'day everyone,

Any tips for the CASA ATPL Airlaw exam? I bought the home study package from AFT, however - it just contains practice questions and references based off the AIP (Will be using Jeppesen in the exam). What's the best way to study for this exam aside from doing practice exams? Any things to look out for?

Cheers!

Read up on your Part 61 IFR recency and flight & duty. Beyond that, just practice looking things up fast!

This is the list of things I took in to the exam, I actually used 1 folder for the CAO's (all at the front with these) and put the CARS at the front of the CAR folder (i still took in everything else just in case).

I found it pretty much everything needed to pass though.

Basically you should end up with about 1 inch thick of CAO's and maybe 1.5/2 inches of CAR at the front of the CAR.

Keep in mind I did take everything in but I only really needed those sections to pass.

Hope that can help you :)

Thanks FutureFO for the info,
Did you need a ERSA at all for the exam? or ERC high or Low?

Cheers!!

Nope didn't need any of them. I'm told you may though.

The holder of an ATPL may grant a flight crew endorsement -

1
only if the holder is a flight instructor
2
only if the holder is a flight examiner
3
only if the holder is an employee of CASA
4
for which the holder is approved to conduct flight training

I believe the answer is option 4. The answer says refer to CAR 5.21 Conversion training... Does this section still exist? Can't seem to find ATPL privileges on this question.:ugh:
