Interesting article here (http://aviationweek.com/commercial-aviation/old-and-new-issues-inundate-iata-safety-agenda).....any professional comments from professionals?

Is IATA right to focus on specific incidents rather than trends? Or are the specific incidents simply signposts of trends?

If you're going public waving a flag for safety it's always helpful to have a few grabbers to release to attract PR of your overall message.

Do they have solutions or just words?

Who is footing the bill

Who is working the solution?

Where is it in the global priorities of those that actually have resources?

What about IATA and pay to fly issues.

1- Living for months with no wages and insane debts
2- Flying crazy amount of hours
3- The PAX/PLOT can't challenge airline on moral/safety issues

This is the biggest threat to a sound flying profession.

Hooo no IATA, please...
