Does anybody have any recommendations for good quality, good value wands and bats ?At Leeds Bradford both air side companies have taken to using lengths of polythene drainpipe wrapped in yellow or orange insulating tape. Yes they do the job but they look utterly cheap and crap, wear out and break quickly and are generally unprofessional items in a supposedly professional environment. There must be something better out there ??

I thought they were meant to be bats by day ?

Perhaps they are but at LBA we've been sporting the yellow drainpipe look for a few years now. I don't think Airport Ops take much notice (they seldom do any marshalling ) but I don't know what the CAA would make of our equipment either. We do use battery powered lighted wands at night and in LVPS.

Can't be any worse than LHR. Air ops there wear orange gloves.

Wait a minute. A set of over grown ping pong paddles with orange paint is 60 pounds while two fancy flashlights will run you 40? I am really in the wrong business.

I was helping ya'll remove your trash from Camp Bastion last year. The marshaller wore half meter foam hands.

At the PFA Rally, we used to use ping pong bats with a suitably coloured fablon on them.
