Hi Folks,

I have been using McAffee, anti virus and firewall software for sometime and it really annoys me with its odd functionality and I'm sure it adds a significant processing burden blah! blah! blah!. I've heard good things about bullguard can anyone comment?

cheers

MJR,

I've heard of them, insofar as they gave be a freebie copy a few years ago which I promptly put in my cupboard and never got round to testing.

Rather than seeking people's subjective opinions round here, I suggest you look at it objectively and see how Bullgard fare on the various AV comparatives.

For example, the AV Comparatives Real-world tests show you exactly where Bullgard stand against the competition, see here (http://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php)

MJR,

Bullguard is terrible.

I tried it for a year, the best thing about Bullguard is their telephone support because one regularly calls upon it to clear one's infected computer.

Don't touch with a bargepole!

Comodo is good and it's free, goggle for Comodo then go to their free products.

I use Bullguard with no problems at all, doesn't seem to slow down any of my machines and so far hasn't let me down.
