Hi all,
I'm new to aviation so this may be a stupid question, but can any body tell me exactly why a private pilot must only pass a class 2 medical while a commercial pilot must pass a class 1?
Don't the two pose very simular risks to themselves, their passengers and those on the ground, regardless of wether or not they are doing it for a living? Why not one standard of health/fitness for everybody?
