As the temperatures start to rise - hottest day of the year so far in London - now would be a good time to ensure that your computer is running as cool as possible by clearing out dust & dirt etc.

For desktops I find an air duster blowing out the dust with a vacuum cleaner nearby (but not in) to catch the offending crud is a quick and effective way to restore proper ventilation.

What are your tips for keeping your laptop clean and cool?

What are your tips for keeping your laptop clean and cool?

- Invertible can of air
(you forgot the rather important word invertible, and forget the vacuum cleaner, just do it outside !)

- AF Screen-Clene wipes
(although I'm sure any brand will do, but these ones are quite handy in individual sachets, so they don't dry out like the ones in tubs)

- Anti-static foam cleaner
(works wonders on keyboards and whatnot)

- Lint-free wipes to go with above

- Camera air blower
(for those parts where compressed air is a little bit too agressive !)

- PPE
Protective eye glasses when using compressed duster (corneal ulcers are not pleasant)
Some sort of hand protection if I'm going to be using foam cleaner for an extended period of time
