Most people who have any time up whatsoever in this place don't need to put a finger into a light socket to know it'll hurt. There never seems to be a shortage of fools to apply for these positions, thinking they'll have a smooth and "fast-tracked" climb to some sort of greatness. No sympathy.

"Ding Dong" also found himself in a world of hurt after trying to shortcut the same system.

Looks like lately the Boeing instructor program has become a very fertile ground for any kind of pilot wanting to leave EK. Trainers, managers, line pilots everyone is leaving the ship while they can.

Especially telling are senior managers leaving. Seems like they know something we lowly line pilots don't.

Senior managers ?

What, Senior training managers don't count? ;) Pretty sure they have insight on things ahead beyond line pilots...

I don't know why people are surprised by this news.

We all know that expats can't get any further than DCPB on the 777 fleet. You are only going to create more foes than friends over time in such a position in EK and potentially limit your future employment prospects.

Nice enough guy, have to give him some credit for seeing the truth and having the balls to do something about it by resigning!

Super nice guy and instantly likeable. Never understood why he would get involved in EK management especially as there is no chance of actually getting the "corner office". I think he has some personal issues at home that may have contributed to his decision. In either case sad to see him go. In a different time and place he could have made a difference.
