Sea King to Morayvia

Very pleased to announce that Morayvia has been successful in it's bid to secure Sea King HAR3 XZ592 for it's Science and Technology Centre at Kinloss.
The aircraft is currently at HMS Sultan in Gosport and it is hoped that the long trek north will take place in early July after which it will be open to the public. Morayvia has had tremendous local support for this project and our thanks go out to everyone involved.
I am now looking for any history on this airframe and where its career has taken it so any information will be welcomed.

Sea King XZ592 was successfully transported by road from Gosport to Spey Bay overnight on the 14th/15th by Limehillock Quarries transport and with massive help from all at HMS Sultan, Gary,his team at Bruntingthorpe, the low- loader drivers and Richard and his guys at Spey Bay. The aircraft will remain at Spey Bay until the 25th when it's planned to take it to the Morayvia HQ at Kinloss via Buckie, Fochabers, Lossiemouth, Elgin and Forres after which we will start putting it all back together again for it to go on public display.

Delivered to B Flt 202 Sqdn at Brawdy 31/10/79....HQ Flt 4/80...to C Flt Coltishall 10/4/81...1500 hrs TT 12/81...to RAFSKTF Culdrose 12/1/82...to Finningley 19/3/82....to B Flt Brawdy 7/4/82...to Falklands Port Stanley C Flt 202 Sqdn by3/8/82 repainted grey overall with black codes SA ......returned to SAREW Finningley 11/7/83 now coded SC and o/s Brawdy with B Flt again coded by 4/84.......to be continued...........

Heli1 and Torque, thanks very much for info which will be useful. I did get some operational details of one job which entailed the rescue of crew members from a Greek ship and for which the crew received Greek bravery awards which they were permitted to wear on their uniforms. Any more details like that help to flesh out the history in human terms so more please.
