A splendid looking Dakota flew over Newcastle under Lyme a few minutes ago.Heading east.Too low to give me time to to grab camera or binoculars.

Is this the same aircraft featured in the RAF BBMF web site?

Very likely - if you check out the BBMF website and their flight movements (Flying Programme 26 - 28 May 2015 (http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/news/index.cfm?storyid=D6041000-5056-A318-A85E6111FFB135D4)) it shows the Dakota was transiting from RAF Valley on Anglesey to Coningsby and may well have been overhead your location at the right sort of time.

We were driving on the M62 westbound between J28 and 27 at about 1430L today and observed a C47 flying low and looked to be doing a display to the south of us. BBMF have nothing listed, so it might have been from Aces High? Any one any ideas? It did have invasion markings.
