Where was this aircraft designed and built? Which factory? Was it Heaton Chapel (Stockport)?

According to the link below, two Fairey Delta 2s were built at Fairey's Hayes, Middlesex factory.

Scroll about one third down the page to read the caption under the first B&W photo of the Fairey Delta 1 (which was built at Heaton Chapel). Further down the page it also mentions that some parts for the FD2 preserved at Cosford were manufactured at Heaton Chapel.

Definitely built at Hayes. A suppressed slot antenna was designed by Faireys electronics section at the old Heston airport for the air speed record attempts. I remember the nose section being in the lab back then, design team led by Doc Williams.

Many thanks. I thought the only good looking aeroplane Fairey produced wasn't from Stockport! (Actually the Firefly, which did, wasn't too bad looking, and the Gannet, which also did, was so ugly it was attractive!).
