Film footage of 50's/60's BOAC planes

Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to be asking the questions, but I thought you guys are the experts, so you might know of a source of film footage - I am looking for film of Douglas DC4's - in colour, 1950's - do you know any feature film titles I should be chasing, or any private or public archive source of film footage of BOAC vintage aeroplanes. I have contacted the BA Museum but I think they only have still photographs. Any leads very gratefully received and I hope I haven't been impertinent in posting on this professional network. I am not sure if it has any DC 4s, but I bought the DVD "Look at Life in the 1960s, Civil Aviation" fromvideo125.co.uk

It has 3 Look at Life films, including "City of the Air" which has footage of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.

It was probably filmed after DC4s were retired, but there may be a shot of one in it somewhere. There is plenty of excellent footage of planes, airports, and vehicles as they were back then, brings back so many memories and highly recommended!

BOAC never operated DC-4s. They did operate the Canadair C-4 Argonaut which was a license built DC-4 but presurised like the DC-6 and with Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. They did operate DC-7Cs.

a Stratocruiser to film, but I don't think there is one anywhere... unless you know of one?

The Huntley Archives have a clip in black and white I think, but you want only colour I take it.

Edit 2: On second look, pretty sure it's a DC-4/North Star, as she's got the Merlin engines.

Yes, it's G-ALDR C4 Argonaut. Clues , amongst others, are the Merlins & the square (ish) windows.

Was actually on television in the UK this evening - caught the end of it. Lot of Stratocruiser, Constellation and Viscount footage. Not sure if there was any DC4 earlier in the film but certainly worth a look.

B.O.A.C. operated a single DC-4, (actually a converted C-54A Skymaster), G-AJPN in B.O.A.C. Skyways livery. Bought by Skyways Ltd. in 1947 as "Sky Champion", then bought by Air France 12 May 1950 as F-BELR. Photo circa 1949.
