Spare a thought for the poor Swine family... only worth 2.4billion quid, a paltry 250 million up on last year... :cool:

'It's the same, the whole world over.
It's the poor wot gets the blame.
It's the rich wot gets the gravy,
Ain't it all a bleedin' shame.'

If you have enough €€€ or $$$ or £££ to buy/lease 150 widebody jets, count me in as a future employee.

If the world was equal we would all be flying planes made out of bamboo.

So 4.8 mil a week. A sum that is more than most countries total contribution to the KTM earthquake aid. Would be inspiring as an employee to see a contribution wouldn't it?

Sir Adrian Swire must be the originating architect and approver of the "minions" who have adopted such an anti-aircrew stance. There is no getting away from the fact that this Spitfire owning former pro-pilot has now abrogated any responsibility for the way in which his Management treats the very people who have been responsible for the fine reputation of his cash cow - namely Cathay Pacific Airways pilots.
What a pity that he and his accountants have turned what was a magnificent Airline that, in the past, has attracted many ex Fighter pilots, Special Forces flyers, several Red Arrows teams and generally top class recruits, into a LCC within a generation.
Well done to the self interested and now distant Board Members who are more interested in the Rich List than doing the right thing.
Cathay Pacific Airways used to be an aspiration - now it's just long haul Easy Jet.:{

Sir Adrian is surely providing a service!!

Cathay Pacific is turning into one of the premier training and supply airlines. The slow but steady trickle of pilots to other airlines is set to increase dramatically over the next couple of years and I'm sure this type rated, reasonably well trained (or :ok::ok:checked?) supply of pilots to North America, BA and the sandpit is much appreciated.

Cathay Pacific is truly making a contribution to Aviation world wide.

Very very accurate (and sad) analysis...
