For the last week or so anytime I try to access a thread in "top" or "subscribed" tabs the app crashes. "New" works fine. Any suggestions or anyone else getting the same?

You are not alone Straighten Up. I have been trying to get on to the Germanwings thread and assumed that it was too large to open via 3G. Just tried a smaller thread and still no joy. Lets hope it gets fixed shortly.

I'm also having the same issues, only started last week on the Pprune App.

Last week new pprune app and updated Iphone and I pad to 8.2! so have experienced all the problems suffered by others here and the I pad freezes after only a few minutes use.

Is the crash problem still happening?

NOTE: we are only referring to the PP app that is available in the app store and google play -- this is NOT for issues related to the new PP mobile skin.

For the past year or so I have regularly quit the app as I either get empty pages instead of the topic list in a forum or I am unable to scroll the list of topics. That was on an iPhone 4S with latest iOS software. I'm getting the same behaviour on an iPhone 6 now.

Is there a known bug in the app as it is know crashing on opening and will not open even after a reset of the iPhone.

I gave up using the iPhone for PPRuNe. The app crashes (or did last time I tried, a month or two ago), and using the browser redirects me to a "mobile skin" that doesn't work.

It's fine on the desktop and on the iPad, which doesn't try to go to the "mobile skin".

Fixing it seems to be pretty low on the 'to do' list. The app could do with a complete overhaul. I can't remember there being an app update in a while now.

The app is no longer supported nor will it be in the future. The mobile skin is the current solution to mobile browsing on all devices. Otherwise, the full site is always available on your mobile browser.

This skin is very clunky and "mobile" unfriendly, compared to the app.

Is there a way to easily display "top" threads like in the app?

The skin will not have all the features of the app or of the full site.

Bit disappointing to be honest. I'm sure the iPhone App (which I really liked on my mobile even vs the recently introduced mobile skin) could be "refreshed" with minor efforts and the skin could at least be improved for feature parity.

What are you usage stats showing ? I can't imagine that mobile access is decreasing (unless, obliviously, you want to make the site mobile unfriendly) ?

Just my 2c...

Please just use the mobile skin. The app is no longer supported nor will it be any time soon if ever.

Mobile skin is crap compared to the app. Another cost cutting effort I'm sure:mad:
