Apparently they are improving (http://www.travelmole.com/news_feature.php?news_id=2016067&c=setreg&region=2) things.

I'd particularly avoid 1 May (or the remainder of the year):

"We are currently in a period of Limited Operational Service to refine our processes and ensure everything is working as expected. We then plan to go fully live on 1 May, although further refinements will probably be made over the course of the year."

Give me Heathrow or City any day of the week.

Gatwick is just ghastly, and Luton/Stanstead are not even worth mentioning.

Well, you guys don't have much choice if you originate/terminate in London. Those of us that need a connection thankfully have other options.

What a stupid article.

A journalist with any nous would have asked FlightAware what the corresponding delay/cancellation stats were like on equally windy days before the Time-Based Separation trial started, for comparison. But then why let the facts get in the way of a good story?

ExXB,

The point of a long period of limited operational service is that on O date you won't notice any difference.
