VH-CVX Liberty XL2

Hey everyone,

Saw the wreck of VH-CVX at Port Macquarie a few days ago just wondering if anyone had any information on what happened to it and why it crashed? ATSB has nothing on it.

It crashed a fair while back, perhaps at least 5 years ago? From memory it did a bouncer of a landing at Bankstown or something similar.

When I took these pictures it was outside the mob that looked after them when SFTC went under and there were 12? of them on the market. Slattery's tried selling half a dozen of them at Warnervale; a number were passed in, from memory prices were around 120k, 70k passed in, 85k, mostly around that range. I bought one of them (not one of the auction ones) direct from Slatterys out of the maintenance shop in Bankstown.

CVX was purchased by someone in Leongatha who owned several of them but he on-sold it again from memory. Seems it found it's way back up to Port Macquarie from Leongatha. He used a few bits off it from memory to get another one going that was used as a spares machine.

SG Aviation - Steve Gloster was the name of the guy that ran this shop, no idea if he's still there, I'm sure someone on here is a local and could tell us...

It is Steve Glover, 90% sure he is still there.

Oops sorry, must have got the spelling wrong when I put his name in my phone. It's been a number of years.
