Funnily enough I had an incident like this on a flight to Kingston many moons ago where a guy exposed himself upfront. The purser hit the offending membrane with a First Class serving spoon.

When they used to allow smoking on flights did they give out free cigarettes to passengers?

Airlines serve copious amounts of alcohol to persons some of which may have an alcohol problem or may be on medication that can create an interaction with alcohol.

They then have the visible effects of the resultant concoction that they contributed to arrested?

I very much hope that you ensured the spoon was properly cleaned before serving the breakfast chipolatas:E

Certainly offered free Cuban cigars to 1st in GF in the eighties.

Yup, we should all refuse a glass of wine with dinner, together with nuts, milk, bread containing gluten, soy, shellfish etc.
People have to be responsible for their own actions and understand their own limitations.
What's the betting that the lady won't do it again?

We had a guy kick off, shouting about Arabs and guess what; he was a new convert to Islam. I'd hope that his arrest and the inconvenience will dissuade him from perpetrating a repetition.

I think flight attendants were the ones who pushed most for smoke free flights.

So with this act do BA get the Skytrax award for best inflight entertainment?

The luxury of the Cuban cigars. Smoking or non smoking. No pipe tobacco...

I operated a flight when a lady decided to remove her clothes and rush into the flight deck, closely followed by the Senior Steward.

It transpired she was diabetic and had forgotten to take her "pills".

She eventually calmed down and was most embarassed when it had been sorted out.

Maybe, something similar happened here.

So, for how long did you engage her in polite conversation before dismissing her? :E

I was on a trans Pacific with CX when dinner was interrupted by a quite attractive young Blond lady running through the cabin with "nothing on but a smile" as the song goes, hotly pursued by a number of Cabin crew. She managed 1 or 2 circuits before being caught. It was more fun than the movie as I re-call. Spoke to one of the cabin crew later who told me it was a pharmaceutical issue of some type, and the poor girl was now in tears back in economy about what she had done. I am quite sure she was not arrested or anything upon arrival, maybe a quiet talking to about tablets and booze perhaps.

Wish I could afford to fly and experience the (jet set) lifestyle viewing naked ladies running rampant on a/c. Sadly, I'm confined to European coach travel, although I did witness an elderly lady back in 2001 changing into a nightie for night time sleep on the coach:{

twenty plus years of slumming it round the globe in all classes of travel on various carriers from yer actual "fly by night" to the snootiest & priciest of flag carriers & the best I've had is a smile from the odd "hostie".

Where can you book these flights? 'cause it sounds a hell of sight more entertaining than the current contents of most IFE systems.
