Visited the Korean air ministry today in Ansan. Had a very pleasant chat with a very nice fellow. Was told converting my Canadian license would only involve taking a written (40 question) air law exam as well as an oral exam (again, air law). Of couse, they're also going to need to verify my logbook.

Question: Has anyone taken these exams? Wouldn't mind knowing what they're generally like.

Cheers,

Wrote the exam a year ago, although we did some ground school on it. Each exam sitting has a different set of questions on it.

There are study sets available. usually they are past questions that have been asked.

Much of the exam has to do with their system of penalties/fines, requirements for cabin equipment, cabin attendants, tower light signal orders, etc. Much of it is based on a lot of other air law from other countries...FAA and Transport Canada type.

Go back to the guy you talked to and ask him if he knows of study material. There are some books available.

Hope it helps
