Hi!
Have a Swedish issued PPL(A) with Instrument Rating - about to expire - and now trying to find an EASA approved Examiner to do a Proficiency Check with me in the United States. Anyone know of any and how to reach them? Tried the Swedish transport authority but the best they could do was suggest I look for a CAA Examiner in the US.

I don't know on a spot, but the thing I would do is call Textron in Wichita for help. They are doing all kind of training for their worldwide deliveries and I assume they have Examiners for most areas of the world. Maybe after some nice chatting with a secretary where she reveals a telephone number? Of the Examiner, of course ;-).

if wanting EASA, why not simply using google regarding flight schools in Florida that provide EASA training/flight tests? Alternatively, Anglo American in California or ask few cadet scheme academies based in Arizona (for European airlines), about examiners. I don't have Euro IR yet, so would have to look up the regs, but is it mandatory to have IPC with examiner?

I have contacted Anglo American in California before and at the time could not do ME/IR revalidation. They could do MEP and you had to pay for the examiner to fly out from Arizona. Your best bet is to contact EFT in Florida. There are a handful of EASA examiners there.
