Brakes Off, Brakes On.

Hi

If you have 1 hour of Brakes off brakes on time, and you spend total 50 mins in the air and total 10 mins on the ground, then does that qualify as 1 hour flight time in your log book, or just 50 minutes?

I was always told during my ppl to book brakes off/brakes on in my log book.

Yes, you log from Brakes off to Brakes on.

It is from the time that the a/c first moves under it's own power until it comes to "rest" again. So in a light a/c this is brakes off to brakes on.
