They love Ben and Holly toys that they see on youtube but I can't find a way to get them unless I pay some serious $$$ to some rather shady characters.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Loads on ebay.co.uk. Wide range of prices, but check overseas postage rates which can double the price on the cheaper items

Toys R US UK and Amazon UK won't ship to me. They don't really explain why.

I'm beginning to see that packages between US and Europe are very expensive, hence the problem.

Just a general observation about shipping. Most of the usual suspects use courier companies as a matter of routine. Not only is that often expensive, but courier shipments sometimes incur brokerage charges as well as taxes and duty.

In my experience, the postal service is the way to go. Almost always cheaper and in my experience of receiving low-value packages in Canada, they are often delivered directly, with no requirement to pay duty or GST.

Try to insist that shippers use the postal service, even if you have to talk to customer service.

Happens in reverse when folk in the UK want US products - dollar prices in GBP.

It was ever thus.

They seem to be available from Amazon.com and Amazon.ca if that helps.
