I reckon you'll get a visit from Mr Plod asking why you need this type of kit.

I was in Yahoo email groups about jetpacks and backpack helicopters, but a recent glitch or change in Yahoo's login system has made them inaccessible to me.

I have now managed to log in to Yahoo again.

Stated age is not necessarily actual age.

Stated age is not necessarily actual age.Correct: Don't take anything that you see on t'interweb at face value!!

(Agreed with the comment on the interest from Mr Plod!)

I do wish every pilot above me on the Seniority List would ask similar questions.
After all, what can go wrong?

Seniority List is the 'pc' term for Senility List.

Doctor: I'll need a urine sample, a stool sample, and a sperm sample.
72 year old: What?
72 year olds wife: He wants your underpants dear.

Quiet day for pedants? - The plural of forums is fora.

But only when talking about a public square in ancient Roman times . Within the context of the contents of this website, forums would be correct.

Thank you, cc.
Pray tell, what is the singular of 'flora'?
Don't think I've ever heard of a florum.

Flora is the name of the Roman goddess of flowers. It is in the singular.
Perhaps you can't really have a collection of flower goddesses although they'd be floras or florae I suppose. Anyway, I think that's one pedant alert kicked into the faunas.

Only if you're talking or writing in Latin.

Trossie

Ah, but... many Latin terms are used in English.

Now if Flora McDonald met up with Flora Stevenson, there would be two Floras. Or would they be two Florae?

I think there'd be a bunch of well educated but impecunious and hungry girls in a rowing boat being sped across the water for the delectation of a self assured young refugee of suspicious religious beliefs whose mother had once held vast estates in Poland and who had anyway never really intended to hurt anyone just so long as he could have his BMW back please.

Too much thread drift here for a serious question.

Pah!!!!

I'll have you know I passed the Internet International I.Q. test in the top 93%. I was able to work out why wiggly lines went into certain boxes, and why bits of string would unwind in fourteen moves. However, I can't remember which test it was. :uhoh:

But . . . no other person I've met has done the original Bloxors series without cheating, and I deem that the ultimate test of a real bloke's mind.
