QF11 returned from about an hour out this arvo. Any ideas why? Sensible ones preferably :ok:

In the big scheme of things maybe it's no big deal on one level, yet to have the QF11 SYD-LAX depart today and return after approx 3 hours over the Pacific due to alleged air-conditioning issues yet again is getting ridiculous.

VH-OQC was the frame and after returning it then departed at 2035 hours.

What is with these aircon issues and the number of A380 turn-backs?

Flight was full and that's got to cost a lot in gas and annoy a lot of punters.

Right aircraft for the fright route? Please.

Alan obviously ordered the fix itself on the ground model, not the elite, fix itself in flight too! :ok:

Maybe they noticed the problem at take off but it took three hours to scroll through the computer's ECAM warnings? :E

Family on board the flight said they were told it was an issue with a hatch related to the APU ("small extra engine that provides air conditioning on the ground"?) either coming open or not closing.

Well brought up CC! I'm hoping these are EXACTLY the types of decisions Mr Sampson will be able to advise Alan on. Simple purchasing errors like the one you have just pointed out need to be rectified before it's too late. :}:}

Surely buying the A380 in the first place was the biggest purchasing error of all time? :)
