Just heard that EK008 a Fat Bus A380 has diverted into EDDM for "operational" reasons.

Anyone got any clues as to the reason? Clue not rumours:=

No, EK008 took off in LHR at 09:27 and the flight looks pretty normal:

Was due to a medical emergency:

Emirates passenger jet flying from London to Dubai is forced to divert to Munich due to 'medical emergency' on board | Daily Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2908115/Emirates-passenger-jet-flying-London-Dubai-forced-divert-Munich.html)

Err... that flight log shows it descending from 10:50 onwards, which kinda isn't normal.

And a quick glace at CFMU tells me UAE8 did land in Munich at 11:21UTC and is filed to depart from Munich at 12:50 UTC (but not yet departed on that plan).

No idea of what the issue is but my guess would be something along the line of an ill passenger.

Stepdaughter on board that flight. Apparently the engineers have found an issue with one of the engines. No departure time as yet; at what point do crew go out of hours?

Gets more interesting as time goes on.

Wife saw it on the "mail online" so I just wondered if anyone had anything factual, Knowing what the Mail's like!! failing that as "Willit Run" said just make up a good rumour. :ok:

Have a look at the comments section. Even its readers laugh at its aviation nonsense stories.
