So I work at AA and live in FLL.
Norwegian flies their 787 right here, but we have no agreements or ID travel with the Red Noses. I could uses passes for easy travel to the old country.

Any Norwegian guy (girl) looking to fly on AA, anywhere and 1st class, then contact me. :cool:

Hmm, no action.
Ended up buying full fare tickets on The 787.
Nice ride, fairly good seats in Premium. (But not quite Business Class)
Food was okay, barely. Small portions served in a cardboard box.
Next time I will bring a sandwich and a couple of bananas or some such thing.
Some of the FAs were young wide bodies, from Eastern Europe perhaps?
The pilots seem to be Brits, but did not go up there to chat.
Overall an ok ride, but not sure if the $1,770 price for Premium was worth the price over $550 for economy.
Then again, never tried economy, not sure how tight it was back there, but I know the food could not have been any less quality or smaller portions :sad:

I don`t know about your company but any airline I have been associated with
absolutely forbid any such transactions. You run the risk of ,if you are caught, losing your I.D. travel privileges for yourself and your company for a long time, if not permanently.

Any moral grounds one should not fly Norwegeian?
Because it is an up-start low-cost Long Haul?

The U.S. Airlines have no moral high ground to stand on with the invention of the B-scale, the fake bankruptcies to break union contracts and letting characters like Lorenzo and Ichan operate.
Or the sweat shop wages for regional pilots and certain non-scheds :sad:

No, not yet. Norwegian are showing their true colors these days. The ongoing strike among the scandinavian pilots has learned us that Mr. Kjos does not respect the unions right to strike, by wet leasing various ad hoc airlines to fill in. The long haul pilots are contract pilots without union representation, that for me is one reason not to fly with them.

Then there is the tax evasion......... I could go on and on.

What is hurting the industry the most, are the little tail wagging spineless lap dogs who are willing to accept just about anything to fly airplanes. I would feel a lot safer in an airliner manned by pilots employed by the airline and represented by a union whose primary concern i safety, rather than contract pilots whose primary concern may be the renewal of his or hers contract.

Aye, I have been a contract pilot myself and don't recognize your comment about rolling over to get a renewal.
Perhaps some weak pilots at third rate airlines will do just that..:sad:

My take on this Norwegian low-cost Long Haul is this:
The original Norwegian pilots, the 737 group, never got a scope clause in their contract. Hence Mr. Kjos was free to out-source the new 787s and the new Long Haul to contractors. Also he was free to start a new Irish airline with a different name but still flying the flag and leading customers to think this is good old Norweagian Air expanding. Not so obviously. :sad:

As long as all this is legal and he can get away with it, great.
It was also tried by Freddy Laker, did not last long.
Looks like Kjos is loosing money tying to undercut the established airlines, maybe the market and expenses won't support his great theory that cheap airfare belongs to the masses. (Didn't Karl Marx's theories also fall on it's ass?)

As long as Kjos is not running a scap outfit I may or may not buy tickets again.
It was convenient doing FLL-OSL non stop, but a 2 hr delay and cheap/****ty food turned me off a bit. Just may go AA to LHR in 1st next time and connect with BA or SAS on passes.
