Dear All,

Hope someone could help me to answer the following...

Do I need to obtain a TR to fly an aircraft (First Officer/Safety Pilot) which is categorized as SP HPA in the EASA Type Rating & License Endorsement List? (e.g. PC12, King Air's, C501/510/525/550, EMB-500/505, etc...)

I am currently looking for a flying job within the Biz/GA sector and as I don't have a TR on my license therefore my options are rather limited.

Many thanks for your help.

If operated commercially you MUST have a type rating for those planes, and you can log the time as copilot/SIC.
If operated privately you do not need one if you are just a safety pilot, but you are not allowed to log the time on your logbook, and you would not be considered a crew member officially.

U forgot to mention that the two-crew-ops must be approved by the authority and mentioned in the OM.
